Private Jet San Jose to Capri

At around 5,553 nautical miles, the San Jose to Capri route is one of the longer Pacific-to-Mediterranean crossings and calls for an ultra-long-range jet. The Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 are the natural choices here, both capable of flying the roughly ten-and-a-half-hour sector without a fuel stop while cruising as high as 51,000 feet, above most commercial traffic and much of the weather that can affect a route of this length. Departures are handled through Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport, giving Silicon Valley travellers a straightforward start to a long day of flying. The reward on arrival is a helicopter descent onto Capri’s cliffside heliport, with the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius often visible in the distance on a clear day. Capri itself has drawn wealthy and creative visitors for two thousand years, from Emperor Tiberius, who ruled Rome from his villa on the island’s eastern cliffs, to the mid-century film stars who made the Piazzetta a fixture of the European social calendar. Anacapri, higher up the island and reached by chairlift over Monte Solaro, offers quieter lanes and views stretching towards the Amalfi Coast. Given the distance involved, this route suits travellers prepared to treat the flight itself as part of the experience, whether departing executives extending a Bay Area business trip or families beginning a multi-week Mediterranean holiday. The ultra-long-range cabin, with its private stateroom and full-length flat-bed seating, makes the crossing genuinely restful, so guests can arrive on Capri ready for the Faraglioni views and lemon-scented evenings rather than needing a day to recover from the journey.
