Private Jet Santa Fe to Cape Coral

Santa Fe to Cape Coral spans 1,347 nautical miles, a sector well within range of a light jet. The Citation CJ4 cruises at up to 45,000 feet and covers the distance in around two and three-quarter hours, giving New Mexico’s arts and government community a direct alternative to connecting through Albuquerque or Denver. Santa Fe Municipal Airport, tucked among the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, keeps charter operations quick even during the city’s busy summer opera and gallery season. Cape Coral could not offer a more different landscape on arrival: a flat, canal-laced city with more navigable waterfront than any other municipality in the world, its residents typically docking boats behind their own homes rather than at a marina. Page Field is close to the shelling beaches of Sanibel and Captiva, and to Fort Myers, home to the adjoining Edison and Ford winter estates. Winter highs in the mid-twenties Celsius offer real relief from a Santa Fe cold snap at seven thousand feet of elevation. The route suits Santa Fe’s gallery owners and collectors with a Gulf coast winter base, retirees trading high desert winters for Florida warmth, and travellers who would rather avoid the connecting flight a scheduled itinerary between these two distinctive markets would otherwise require, particularly during the coldest months of the year. Santa Fe’s small resident population belies a genuinely global charter clientele, many of them collectors and gallery owners who think nothing of a same-day round trip to the Gulf coast for a closing or an opening. Both recommended aircraft carry enclosed lavatories and a forward galley, comforts worth having on a crossing of nearly three hours at altitude.
