Private Jet Santiago to Mountain Air Country Club

Santiago, Chile’s capital and largest city, sits roughly 4,449 nautical miles from Mountain Air Country Club, a distance well matched to a heavy business jet such as a Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000. Cruising comfortably up to around 45,000 feet, these aircraft typically complete a sector of this length without a fuel stop, offering spacious cabins for the several hours of flying involved. Departure from Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport places passengers against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes, which frame the city on clear days. Arrival at Mountain Air Country Club brings a different but equally mountainous setting: a private golf community above 4,000 feet in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains near Burnsville, its airstrip built into the community itself and views reaching toward Mount Mitchell. The change from the Andes to the Appalachians makes for a striking, if less dramatically high, mountain-to-mountain journey. This route suits business travellers and property owners with interests in both Chile and the southeastern United States, and golfers drawn to genuinely private mountain courses on two continents. Given the moderate flight time and manageable time difference, this is one of the more straightforward long routes on the network to schedule, though brokers still advise confirming customs procedures at both ends well ahead of departure and checking prevailing winds, which can shift total flight time by an hour or more depending on the season and routing chosen, particularly during the southern hemisphere’s winter months when jet-stream activity intensifies over the Andes. Owners who split their time between the two countries often mention the golf itself as an unexpected common thread, with both destinations offering genuinely dramatic mountain courses despite the very different cultures surrounding them.
