Private Jet Sarasota to Cavallo

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, gives travellers a relaxed departure point for the roughly 4,420 nautical mile journey to Cavallo. A heavy business jet is well suited to this distance, and both the Gulfstream G550 and Bombardier Global 6000 can fly the crossing without a technical stop, cruising at altitudes up to around 45,000 feet where the ride is generally smoother and more efficient than at lower levels. Cavallo sits within the Lavezzi archipelago off southern Corsica and has no runway of its own, so travellers route through Figari-Sud Corse before a short onward transfer to the island. There, the landscape is defined by restraint: no cars, sandy paths between private villas, and pink granite boulders framing shallow turquoise water, all overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio towards Sardinia. The nearby citadel town of Bonifacio, its buildings stacked along dramatic limestone cliffs above an old harbour, offers an easy half-day excursion for restaurants or a walk along the ramparts. Coming from Sarasota’s own white sand beaches and Gulf waters, travellers will recognise the appeal of clear water immediately, even as Cavallo’s granite backdrop and European pace mark a clear departure from Florida’s Gulf Coast character. This route suits guests seeking a more exclusive, understated version of the coastal escape they already know well, with the aircraft’s range making the long crossing entirely manageable in one comfortable leg. Sarasotas manageable size and efficient handling generally make for a smooth start to the day, a useful advantage before settling in for several hours over open Atlantic water.
