Private Jet Simpson Bay to Spokane

Simpson Bay, on the Dutch side of St Maarten, is about 3,180 nautical miles from Spokane, a sector suited to a heavy jet like the Gulfstream G550 or a super-mid-size Bombardier Challenger 350, either capable of covering the distance in around six hours while cruising near 43,000 feet. Princess Juliana International Airport is one of the Caribbean’s busiest general aviation gateways, its low approach over Maho Beach famous among aviation enthusiasts, and its handlers are well versed in managing the heavy seasonal traffic that builds each winter as private aircraft arrive from across North America and Europe. Spokane, at journey’s end, offers a settled and orderly contrast to St Maarten’s bustle: a modest city built around the falls of the Spokane River, with Riverfront Park’s grounds recalling the 1974 World’s Fair and Gonzaga University supplying much of the downtown’s cultural life and a devoted basketball following. The Selkirk Mountains rise within easy reach to the north, and the wheat country of the Palouse spreads out to the south and west. Families with property on St Maarten and business or personal ties in the Pacific Northwest are the most frequent travellers on this route, and because no scheduled airline offers a workable direct connection between the two cities, chartering an aircraft sized for the distance is the only practical way to travel without a lengthy, multi-stop itinerary, arriving ready for meetings or family time rather than worn down by a day spent in airports. The airport’s proximity to the beach means arrival and departure timings can occasionally shift around wind conditions, and a good operator builds a modest buffer into the schedule rather than promising an exact minute of departure during the busiest weeks of the season.
