Private Jet Simpson Bay to Yonkers

Simpson Bay, on the Dutch side of St Maarten, is about 1,486 nautical miles from Yonkers, a distance a Super Mid-Size jet such as the Challenger 350 covers in roughly two and a half hours at cruise altitudes near 43,000 feet. Departure is from Princess Juliana International Airport, one of the Caribbean’s busiest gateways and a field famous among aviation enthusiasts for its low, close approach over Maho Beach, though for charter passengers the appeal lies simply in its efficient private aviation handling and broad connectivity across the region. Heading north over the Bahamas and up the U.S. Atlantic coast, the flight descends into Westchester County Airport, sparing passengers the far larger crowds of New York’s principal international fields. Yonkers greets arriving travellers with the Hudson River’s calm and the historic character of Philipse Manor Hall, a marked change of pace from St Maarten’s lively beach clubs and bustling harbour. This route carries considerable traffic tied to the island’s role as a regional hub, with many travellers using St Maarten as a springboard for onward yacht charters or visits to smaller neighbouring islands before continuing north. Superyacht owners and their guests in particular favour this pairing during the winter charter season, valuing the ability to reposition quickly and privately between the Caribbean’s most active marina and the New York area without the delays a commercial connection through Puerto Rico or Florida would introduce. Charter brokers also note a reliable secondary demand from crew changes, since many yachts based in St Maarten for the winter season rotate staff through New York on a regular schedule throughout the busiest months.
