Private Jet Staniel Cay to Irving

Few charter routes cover as much contrast as the hop from Staniel Cay to Irving, a journey of some 1,199 nautical miles that trades the shallow turquoise flats of the Exuma Cays for the corporate skyline of North Texas. Staniel Cay Airport, the small strip serving this pocket of the Bahamas, handles light aircraft and turboprops comfortably, making it a natural departure point for owners stepping off a yacht or a beach villa near Thunderball Grotto. A Phenom 300 or a well-equipped turboprop such as the Pilatus PC-12 covers the distance with ease, cruising at altitudes up to around 45,000 feet where the ride stays smooth above the weather systems that build over the Gulf Stream. Arrival is into Dallas Love Field, minutes from Irving’s Las Colinas business district, home to the headquarters of several major corporations and the bronze Mustangs sculpture that gallops through Williams Square. Travellers landing here typically step from island time into a packed schedule of meetings, site visits or a stopover en route further into the United States, and Love Field’s close-in location saves considerable time over the larger DFW International a few miles north. The Exuma side of the route rewards planning around weather windows, since the airstrip’s limited approach lighting favours daylight departures, while the Texas side offers reliable year-round operations in almost any season. This pairing suits business travellers based in the Caribbean who need a fast, private connection back to a US commercial hub, as well as leisure travellers extending an island break with a few days in Dallas-Fort Worth before their onward journey, sidestepping the delays that come with connecting through a major international gateway and the queues that follow.
