Private Jet Staniel Cay to Phnom Penh

Staniel Cay to Phnom Penh covers roughly 8,664 nautical miles, a sector demanding the full capability of an Ultra-Long Range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, both able to complete the crossing without a technical stop while cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet, above much of the weather along such an extended routing. Departures use Staniel Cay Airport, a small strip in the Exuma Cays best known as a base for exploring the surrounding sandbars and swimming pigs rather than for long-haul aviation, though it handles private charters efficiently for its size. Arrival in Phnom Penh, after roughly fourteen and a half hours aloft, brings a total change of scenery, from the shallow turquoise waters of the Exumas to a riverside capital shaped by the confluence of the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Bassac rivers. The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda remain the ceremonial centre of the city, while the National Museum’s collection of Khmer stone sculpture traces Cambodia’s artistic heritage back over a thousand years to the Angkorian era. Regional investment in garment manufacturing and construction has given Phnom Penh an increasingly commercial character, and many visitors continue north to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor. Given the length of this sector, the private suites and low cabin altitude pressurisation of a G650ER make a genuine difference to how passengers feel on arrival, an important consideration after such an extended flight. This pairing suits a small but genuine set of travellers with interests spanning the Bahamian out-islands and mainland Southeast Asia, valuing the discretion and flexibility of chartering point to point over such a demanding distance.
