Private Jet Tashkent to Capri

Some 2,460 nautical miles stretch between Tashkent and the limestone stacks of Capri, a distance that draws travellers from Central Asia toward one of the Mediterranean’s most storied coastlines. A Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 suits the sector well, cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet, comfortably above the weather systems that can complicate lower-flying traffic over the Caucasus and the Balkans. Departing Tashkent International Airport, passengers leave behind the Silk Road capital’s dry continental climate for an island where the air carries salt, pine and citrus in equal measure. Private aircraft on this route typically route into Naples International Airport, the nearest full-length runway to the island, before a short helicopter transfer completes the final miles to Capri Heliport, sparing guests the queues that build at the summer ferry terminals. Capri rewards the long flight generously: the Faraglioni, three dramatic rock towers rising from the sea, frame the approach to Marina Piccola, where bathers have gathered since the island became a fixture of European high society in the mid-twentieth century. Boutiques cluster around the Piazzetta, the tiny square that has hosted film stars and industrialists alike over espresso and Aperol at all hours of the evening. For travellers departing Uzbekistan, the appeal lies as much in the contrast as in the destination itself, a switch from arid plains to vertiginous cliffs and turquoise water within a single day of travel. The Tashkent to Capri corridor particularly suits guests planning an extended Mediterranean stay, pairing business commitments across Central Asia with genuine leisure on an island where cars are banned outright and nearly every winding path eventually opens onto a sweeping sea view worth the walk. Guests planning the return leg often time it for early morning, when the light over the Faraglioni is at its softest and the marina below is quietest.
