Private Jet Timphou to Newark

Timphou, better served by Paro in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, lies approximately 6,622 nautical miles from Newark, a distance suited to an ultra-long-range jet, typically flown as a single extended leg. A Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500 is well matched to the crossing, cruising near 45,000 to 51,000 feet for much of the journey. Departures use Paro International Airport, one of the most demanding airports in the world for pilots given its mountain-ringed valley approach, and a field that only a small number of specially qualified crews are certified to operate into. Arrival into Newark Liberty International connects passengers with Manhattan, linking one of the world’s most carefully preserved Himalayan kingdoms with the New York metropolitan area. Demand on this corridor is niche but distinctive, drawn from travellers seeking Bhutan’s monasteries, mountain trekking routes and its famously strict approach to tourism, which limits visitor numbers and preserves the kingdom’s cultural character. Given the considerable distance and Paro’s demanding approach, this journey requires careful operator selection alongside standard rest planning for a crossing of this length. The ultra-long-range cabin aboard the aircraft flown here provides the comfort needed for the journey, rounding out what is, for many passengers, a once-in-a-lifetime approach into one of the most remote and carefully guarded destinations reachable from the northeastern United States. Trekking permits and cultural tours in Bhutan are tightly regulated by the government, and most visitors arrange these well in advance of their charter departure. Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside above the Paro valley, remains the single most requested excursion for visitors arriving on this route.
