Private Jet Tucson to Wichita

Tucson and Wichita are separated by approximately 747 nautical miles, a sector flown by executive airliners, heavy business jets, light and mid-size jets, super mid-size jets, turboprops and very light jets. Tucson International Airport serves southern Arizona’s second-largest city, an economy built on defence contracting, aerospace maintenance, optics and a large university research presence centred on the University of Arizona. A Citation CJ4 or Challenger 350 covers the roughly ninety-minute flight with ease, cruising in the high thirties across New Mexico and Oklahoma before descending into Kansas. Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport receives the flight into a city whose manufacturing base, anchored by Cessna, Beechcraft and Textron Aviation, gives Tucson’s aerospace maintenance and defence contracting executives a natural professional link. A short stopover in Wichita might include the Keeper of the Plains sculpture or a walk through Old Town. This route is heavily used by defence and aerospace industry executives whose supply chains connect southern Arizona’s maintenance and testing facilities with Kansas’s manufacturing base, two cities whose economies, though very differently shaped, both depend fundamentally on the health of the broader American aviation industry. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the dramatic saguaro-studded landscape surrounding the city give Tucson a distinctive sense of place that few other stops on this network can match. Business travellers regularly extend their visit for a day to take it in, particularly during the milder winter months when the desert climate is at its most pleasant and outdoor activities are easiest to fit around a busy meeting schedule.
