Private Jet Vancouver to Cavallo

Vancouver to Cavallo spans 5,540 nautical miles, one of the longest routes on the network, requiring an ultra-long-range or heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500, with cruise altitudes reaching toward 45,000 to 51,000 feet and a flight time approaching nine and a half hours. Vancouver International Airport serves a city framed by mountains and the Pacific, whose own dramatic coastal scenery offers a distant preview, in spirit if not in climate, of the granite shoreline awaiting arrival on the far side of the continent and ocean. Cavallo lies at the end of that long journey, a small island within the Lavezzi archipelago off Corsica’s southern coast, reached only by helicopter since it has no runway of its own. The strait toward Sardinia is protected as a marine reserve, its clarity a defining feature of an island long favoured by a discreet, well-travelled clientele who value the handful of restaurants and villas over larger, more conventional resort developments elsewhere on the coast. Given the exceptional distance, this route is realistically suited only to travellers building a substantial European stay into their plans, with careful attention to fuel, crew duty and any technical stop required along the way. For guests based on Canada’s west coast, it represents one of the more ambitious but rewarding long-range charters available on the network. Aircraft based on the west coast typically require careful positioning ahead of a confirmed departure, and operators recommend booking well in advance given both the distance involved and the relative scarcity of jets with the range to cover it comfortably in a single hop. The reward, for those who make the journey, is arrival at one of the very few places in the Mediterranean that has genuinely resisted the pull of mass tourism.
