Private Jet Vence to Lubbock

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, serving Vence and the hill towns above the French Riviera, is the departure point for a long-range private charter of about 4,762 nautical miles west to Lubbock. A heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or G650ER suits the crossing well, with the range to fly the Atlantic non-stop while cruising near 45,000 feet for much of the journey. Vence is known for its perched medieval old town, the Henri Matisse-designed Chapelle du Rosaire, and its position just inland from the glamour of the Côte d’Azur; Lubbock, by contrast, is a landlocked agricultural city on the flat High Plains of West Texas, built around Texas Tech University, cotton, and cattle. Guests touching down at Preston Smith International find the Buddy Holly Center and the National Ranching Heritage Center close to the airport, a considerable shift from Vence’s hillside light and Mediterranean views. The flight crosses the length of the Atlantic before the land reappears as the flat, cultivated plains of West Texas, a genuinely long crossing for a pairing not served by any scheduled airline. This route suits Riviera-based art collectors, hospitality executives, and Texas Tech alumni with second homes in the south of France, as well as those avoiding the multiple connections a commercial itinerary through a European hub would otherwise require, replacing them with a single long but comfortable non-stop leg. Riviera art dealers and gallery owners exploring the growing collector base in Texas have added a further, if niche, reason for the occasional crossing.
