Private Jet Vence to Shima

The route from Vence to Shima spans roughly 5,379 nautical miles, comfortably within the territory of ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Bombardier Global 7500, which completes the crossing of around ten hours with a cruise ceiling near 51,000 feet and a cabin configured with multiple distinct living zones, allowing passengers to move between work, dining and rest across such a lengthy sector. Its range leaves a healthy margin over the distance involved, useful given the varied airspace the route crosses. Departure is from Nice Côte d’Azur, the gateway airport for Vence and the wider hill towns above the French Riviera, known for its blend of medieval architecture and modern art heritage, including the Matisse-designed Chapelle du Rosaire. From there the route tracks east across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia before arriving into Chūbu Centrair, serving the Shima peninsula, a region prized for its pearl cultivation and the sacred precincts of the Ise Grand Shrine. Guests undertaking this journey typically pair a stay in the hills above the Riviera with an entirely different landscape in Japan’s Kansai region, where Ise-Shima National Park’s rugged coastline and traditional hospitality offer a marked contrast to the Mediterranean light and architecture of Vence. Given the scale of the journey, careful planning around crew rest and, where relevant, a technical stop is advisable, though modern ultra-long-range aircraft increasingly make the sector achievable non-stop. The hill town’s artistic legacy, and its long association with painters drawn to the quality of southern French light, gives departing guests an unexpected point of comparison with Ise-Shima’s own reputation as a place of quiet, contemplative beauty.
