Private Jet Haikou to Vence

Haikou Meilan International Airport is the departure point for a 5,119 nautical mile crossing to Vence, a distance that calls for an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER, capable of the sector without a technical stop while cruising up to 51,000 feet on favourable legs. The roughly nine-and-three-quarter-hour flight tracks northwest across Central and South Asia before beginning its final descent into the Mediterranean basin, a considerable journey that benefits from the extra range margin such an aircraft provides. At the destination, Nice Côte d’Azur opens onto Vence’s hillside setting above the Baie des Anges, a town whose fortified medieval streets and Matisse-decorated Chapelle du Rosaire have made it a fixture of the Riviera’s cultural circuit. The surrounding hills, given over to olive groves and the fragrance fields near Grasse, offer a rural counterpart to the busier resorts along the coast, with Cannes and Monaco both within easy reach. Hainan’s own status as a tropical island destination gives Haikou travellers an interesting point of comparison with the Riviera’s own coastal resorts, even as the cultures and histories on either end of the journey differ considerably. The ultra-long-range cabin’s flat-bed seating and generous space prove their worth across a crossing of this length, letting passengers arrive in southern France properly rested rather than depleted by the better part of a day spent airborne. Business travellers linked to Hainan’s growing free-trade port status increasingly favour this kind of direct routing, avoiding the multiple connections a commercial itinerary of this distance would otherwise require.
