Private Jet Van Nuys to Charlestown

Van Nuys Airport, one of the busiest general aviation fields in the country, anchors this 3,155 nautical mile route to Charlestown, a crossing long enough to warrant a super mid-size jet with strong range figures. A Gulfstream G280 or Challenger 350 both suit the sector well, offering transcontinental-plus capability and a cabin comfortable enough for the five-plus hours typically required to reach the eastern Caribbean from the Los Angeles basin. Departing Van Nuys avoids the delays associated with LAX, letting passengers move from car to cabin with minimal friction before settling in for a flight that climbs toward the mid-40,000-foot range for a large stretch of the journey, trading altitude for a notably smoother ride over open water. The approach into Vance W. Amory International Airport on Nevis is typically straightforward, and the airport’s proximity to Charlestown means guests are rarely more than a short drive from their accommodation. Nevis has built its reputation on restraint rather than spectacle: the island’s plantation-era great houses have largely been converted into intimate inns, Pinney’s Beach remains uncrowded by regional standards, and Nevis Peak dominates the skyline with hiking trails that reward those willing to climb into its rainforest canopy. Charlestown’s compact centre, with its stone customs house and colonial-era streets, is easily explored on foot in an afternoon. For Los Angeles-area clients used to weighing multiple long-haul leisure options, this route offers something distinct from the more heavily trafficked islands further north in the Caribbean chain, suited to travellers who want genuine seclusion without sacrificing the comfort of a direct private crossing.
