Private Jet Castries to Augusta

Castries to Augusta covers 1,642 nautical miles, a Caribbean sector well handled by a Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280, cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet and covering the distance in around three hours and fifteen minutes. George F. L. Charles Airport, St Lucia’s in-town gateway close to the capital, provides the departure, a convenient alternative to the island’s larger international airport for private charter traffic. Augusta Regional Airport welcomes the flight at the other end, a relaxed entry point for a city known internationally chiefly for the Masters Tournament each April. Outside tournament week, Augusta’s Savannah River waterfront and historic downtown give the city a quieter identity. St Lucia, famed for the dramatic twin peaks of the Pitons rising from the Caribbean Sea, draws a substantial luxury tourism trade, and this corridor sees a steady mix of leisure travellers returning from an island stay and business figures with interests spanning the Eastern Caribbean and the American Southeast. A super-mid-size cabin suits this sector well, offering a full meal service across a flight of just over three hours, long enough to properly unwind from a Caribbean stay before arriving for business or golf in Georgia. St Lucia’s growing reputation as a wellness and honeymoon destination, built around its volcanic landscape and boutique resort scene, has brought a steady rise in private charter demand on this corridor over recent years, a trend operators on the island expect to continue. The Pitons themselves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and their silhouette has become one of the most recognisable images associated with Caribbean travel.
