Private Jet Davos to Augusta

Few European departure points illustrate the need for a genuinely long-range aircraft quite as well as an Alpine resort, where the final approach itself can be as demanding as the ocean crossing that precedes it. Davos to Augusta measures 4,058 nautical miles, a distance well matched to the Gulfstream G650ER or the Bombardier Global 7500, aircraft capable of cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet, considerably higher than most commercial traffic, which allows them to clear Alpine weather efficiently after departure and settle into an undisturbed track across the Atlantic. Departures are arranged from Engadin Airport or Zurich Kloten Airport, with the Davos mountain helipad available for the final leg into the resort itself when time or terrain requires it. Augusta, Georgia, lies along the Savannah River, which forms the border with South Carolina and gives the city its characteristic waterfront parks, its historic trading quarter and the gentle, low-lying topography that stands in such obvious contrast to Davos’s high alpine setting. The shift in altitude and landscape, from mountain resort to riverside Southern city, is as pronounced as any on this brokerage’s network. This crossing suits travellers who have based themselves in Davos for the winter or summer season and need an onward connection to American commitments without the complication of descending first to a lowland hub, as well as golf enthusiasts and business principals whose itineraries span both destinations. The combination of a helicopter transfer from the resort and an ultra-long-range jet for the ocean crossing itself reflects exactly the kind of multi-modal planning that distinguishes private charter from any scheduled alternative, allowing the journey from the Alps to the American South to unfold as a single coordinated itinerary rather than a series of separate, poorly connected legs.
