Private Jet St John to Huntington Beach

Some 2,991 nautical miles of ocean and continent separate Antigua, served by VC Bird International Airport, from Huntington Beach on the Southern California coast. Super mid-size jets handle the pairing comfortably, with the Gulfstream G280 and Bombardier Challenger 350 both capable of the roughly five-and-three-quarter-hour crossing without a fuel stop, cruising near 45,000 feet for a smooth transit above most weather. Antigua, famed for claiming a beach for every day of the year and for English Harbour’s deep ties to Caribbean yachting history, gives way on arrival to an altogether different coastal identity. Huntington Beach has built its reputation around surfing rather than sailing, its pier and wide sands drawing competitors to the US Open of Surfing each summer and casual visitors year-round. John Wayne Airport receives arriving guests, placing Orange County’s business parks and the nearby marinas of Newport Beach within easy reach. The cabin comfort of a super mid-size jet, including a flat-floor stand-up interior and a genuine galley, makes a real difference on a sector of this length, allowing passengers to work, rest or simply enjoy the changing scenery below as the aircraft tracks from Caribbean blue to Pacific coastline. This route suits villa owners and yacht guests based in Antigua’s sailing scene who keep a second home in Southern California, as well as Californians drawn to Antigua’s regatta calendar. Given the island’s popularity during Antigua Sailing Week and the winter season generally, booking ahead through The Jet Collection helps secure the preferred departure window, particularly as ramp space at VC Bird fills quickly once the regatta calendar gets underway each spring.
