Private Jet Almaty to Porto Heli

At around 2,451 nautical miles, the route between Almaty and Porto Heli calls for a super mid-size jet along the lines of a Gulfstream G280, an aircraft with the range to cover Kazakhstan, the Caucasus and much of the Mediterranean in one sector while cruising near 45,000 feet, comfortably above most weather systems along the way. Almaty International Airport serves Kazakhstan’s largest city, set dramatically against the snow-capped Tian Shan foothills and known for its tree-lined avenues, ski resorts within an hour’s drive, and status as the country’s commercial and cultural centre even though the political capital moved north decades ago. On arrival, guests land at Porto Heli’s own airstrip or Kalamata International Airport, both serving a resort town on the Argolic Gulf that has quietly built a reputation among yacht owners and charter clients as one of the Peloponnese’s most attractive summer bases. The bay faces the island of Spetses, with Hydra a short hop further on, and the coastline nearby is dotted with the small fishing harbour of Ermioni and secluded coves reached only by water. Inland, the ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the fortified hilltop of Mycenae give the area genuine historical weight beyond its beaches. The cabin comfort of a super mid-size aircraft, with a private and quiet interior over a flight of five hours or more, matters on a sector this length. This route suits travellers drawn to contrast: the mountain backdrop and continental character of Almaty against the pine-scented, sea-facing calm of the Greek Peloponnese in high summer.
