Private Jet Amalfi to St. Petersburg

At roughly 4,649 nautical miles, the Amalfi to St Petersburg sector ranks among the longest in this network, calling for an ultra-long-range aircraft like the Gulfstream G650ER, which comfortably bridges the Atlantic on a flight of around nine hours. Passengers typically depart via Naples International Airport or the smaller Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, both serving the dramatic cliffside towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello that have made this stretch of coastline one of the most sought-after in the Mediterranean. Once established in cruise, generally in the high-40,000s, the aircraft crosses southern Europe, the North Atlantic and much of the continental United States, a long routing that benefits considerably from favourable winds on the eastbound leg back and requires careful fuel planning westbound. The Amalfi Coast’s steep, lemon-terraced hillsides and its centuries-old fishing villages give it a character quite distinct from Florida’s flatter, water-fringed Gulf coast, and many travellers on this route use the contrast deliberately, pairing a European summer with a Florida winter. Arrival into St Pete-Clearwater International Airport keeps the final stage of such a long journey simple, with St Petersburg’s museums, dining and the beaches of Pinellas County all a short drive from the field. This route suits owners with interests on both sides of the Atlantic, for whom the nonstop capability of a purpose-built long-range jet removes the need for a refuelling stop that a shorter-range aircraft would otherwise require. Given the coastline’s narrow roads and limited helicopter access in places, most visitors still rely on a fixed-wing arrival into one of the two nearby gateway airports before continuing on by car or boat.
