Private Jet Charlestown to Chesapeake

From the volcanic slopes of Nevis to the flat tidewater terrain of Chesapeake, Virginia stretches a sector of roughly 1,390 nautical miles, comfortably within reach of a Citation CJ4 or, for those wanting a wider cabin, a Challenger 350. Cruising near 43,000ft keeps the flight above most Caribbean convective weather, a genuine advantage during the hurricane season months. Departures leave from Vance W. Amory International Airport on Nevis, a small island long known for its historic sugar plantations turned boutique estates and its connection to Alexander Hamilton, who was born there. Arrival at Chesapeake Regional Airport brings passengers into a very different setting, a working Hampton Roads city built on shipbuilding and the naval logistics that support the fleet based at nearby Norfolk. The Elizabeth River runs through the heart of the city, while the Dismal Swamp Canal, the oldest artificial waterway still in continuous operation in the United States, threads through the wetlands to the south. History enthusiasts might note the Great Bridge battlefield, where an early and consequential Revolutionary War engagement took place, while those wanting sand and surf can reach the Virginia Beach oceanfront within a short drive. Both recommended aircraft offer enclosed lavatories and standing headroom, practical comforts on a flight of nearly three hours. This route tends to appeal to owners of Caribbean holiday properties returning to business commitments on the East Coast, as well as travellers avoiding the multiple connections a commercial itinerary through San Juan or Miami would otherwise require for such a modestly sized island departure point.
