Private Jet Davos to Koh Samui

The route from Davos to Koh Samui covers approximately 4,997 nautical miles, a genuinely long-haul sector best suited to a heavy or ultra-long-range aircraft. A Gulfstream G550 or G650ER, or a Bombardier Global 6000, provides the range to complete the crossing in a single leg, cruising near 45,000 feet to stay above much of the weather encountered across the Alps, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean en route to the Andaman Sea. At roughly nine and a half hours in the air, cabin design matters considerably, and these types offer configurations with proper sleeping berths that make the transition from Alpine altitude to tropical humidity far less taxing. Departures typically route through Engadin Airport or the Davos mountain helipad before onward connection, or directly via Zurich Kloten Airport for the long sector itself, giving travellers flexibility depending on snow conditions and aircraft size. Koh Samui, the destination, is an island in the Gulf of Thailand within Surat Thani province, its coastline framed by the golden sands of Chaweng and the quieter Lamai Beach further south. Samui International Airport, built and still operated by Bangkok Airways, is known for its unusually low-rise, open-air terminals set among coconut palms and tropical gardens, a deliberate departure from conventional airport design that sets the tone for the island beyond. Travellers moving between two such different worlds, from ski season in Graubünden to beach season in the Gulf of Thailand, tend to plan extended stays given the distance involved, and a private cabin allows that long transition to happen in genuine comfort rather than fatigue.
