Private Jet Eleuthera to Bodrum

Spanning approximately 5,119 nautical miles, the journey from Eleuthera to Bodrum ranks among the longer sectors flown by private operators serving the Bahamas, crossing the full width of the Atlantic before descending into the Aegean. A Gulfstream G550 or Global 6000 suits the distance well, each capable of covering the sector without a technical stop and cruising at altitudes that keep passengers above most weather systems for the bulk of the flight. Departure is from North Eleuthera Airport, close to the pink-sand beaches of Harbour Island, with the routing tracking north-east across open water toward continental Europe before turning south for the Turkish coast. Bodrum’s setting rewards the length of the journey. Milas-Bodrum Airport sits inland from a peninsula shaped by centuries of maritime trade, its old town still arranged around the Castle of St Peter and the ruins of ancient Halicarnassus, once home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The harbour is busy with the wooden gulets built along this coast for generations, many of them setting off on multi-day cruises known locally as Blue Voyages along the Aegean’s hidden coves. Restaurants along the waterfront serve the day’s catch each evening as the light fades over the water. This pairing suits travellers with interests on both sides of the Atlantic, from second-home owners splitting time between the Bahamas and Turkey’s Riviera to charter groups seeking to link an island escape with an extended Mediterranean sailing itinerary in a single, well-planned private aviation journey. Given the hours involved, many operators build a rest period into the crew rotation partway through the assignment, ensuring the same experienced pair handles both the outbound and return legs of what is a demanding but well-established sector.
