Private Jet Eleuthera to Montauk

North Eleuthera Airport lies about 991 nautical miles from Montauk, a distance easily managed by a light jet or turboprop such as a Phenom 300 or Pilatus PC-12, with flight time close to two hours. Eleuthera, a long, narrow island famed for its pink sand beaches at Harbour Island just offshore, has attracted a steady stream of design-minded second-home buyers and hoteliers over the past decade, sustaining healthy charter traffic on this northbound route. Aircraft depart over the island’s dramatic cliffs and coves before climbing to cruise, with turboprops generally operating in the mid-20,000s and light jets reaching the low 40,000s for a faster crossing of the open Atlantic toward Long Island. Arrival at Montauk Airport offers a study in contrasting shorelines, trading Eleuthera’s pink-tinged sand and glass-window rock formations for Montauk’s rugged bluffs and lighthouse-topped point. Both destinations share an unhurried, design-conscious hospitality scene that has drawn comparisons in recent travel coverage, making this pairing a natural fit for style-conscious travellers moving seasonally between the two. Given Eleuthera’s relatively modest airport infrastructure, turboprops remain the most practical choice for smaller parties, particularly those connecting onward to Harbour Island by boat, while light jets suit larger groups seeking a quicker transit. Booking ahead of the busy winter and spring travel windows helps avoid slot conflicts at North Eleuthera. This route suits boutique hoteliers, design industry travellers and families maintaining homes in both locations, offering a swift and comfortable link between two of the Atlantic’s most photogenic coastlines, and one that rewards travellers willing to trade a busier gateway for the calmer pace both island communities are known for.
