Private Jet Exumas to Huntsville

Exumas to Huntsville covers approximately 869 nautical miles, a sector suited to a light jet or a turboprop such as the Pilatus PC-12, cruising near 31,000 feet for a flight of about an hour and three-quarters. Exuma Airport serves an archipelago celebrated for its turquoise water and the famous swimming pigs of Big Major Cay, a destination that has grown rapidly in profile as a boutique alternative to the Bahamas’ larger, more developed islands. Arrival into Huntsville International Airport brings passengers to a city with an entirely different focus, one built around NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and a dense cluster of aerospace and defence contractors. Given the moderate distance, this flight allows for a light refreshment service, with the turboprop’s runway flexibility again proving useful given Exuma’s more limited airport infrastructure compared with Nassau. High-net-worth leisure travellers with resort or villa interests in the Exumas make up much of the demand on this route, alongside a steady stream of visitors drawn specifically by the archipelago’s social media fame and its swimming pig attraction. Families extending an Exumas holiday with a Space Camp visit in Huntsville also contribute to demand on this corridor. With no scheduled airline service connecting these two destinations directly, private charter offers the most practical way to travel this route without a connection through Nassau or a Florida gateway first. Boating enthusiasts exploring the wider Exuma Cays by chartered yacht frequently use this route to begin or end a longer Bahamian sailing itinerary, valuing the ability to connect directly to Huntsville without a lengthy stop in Nassau along the way.
