Private Jet Exumas to Overland Park

The Exumas to Overland Park route spans approximately 1,330 nautical miles, a distance well suited to a light jet or turboprop such as the Cessna Citation CJ4 or Pilatus PC-12, both able to operate comfortably from the smaller airstrips found throughout this stretch of the Bahamas while cruising efficiently for a journey of this length. Flights depart from Exuma Airport, serving an archipelago famous for its swimming pigs, the Thunderball Grotto and some of the most photographed turquoise water in the entire Caribbean basin. Arrival in Overland Park brings a considerable change of pace: a carefully planned, affluent Kansas City suburb known for its corporate presence, the striking Museum at Prairiefire, and mile after mile of maintained parkland along Indian Creek. A short drive delivers guests into downtown Kansas City, with its own celebrated barbecue tradition, storied jazz clubs and the Nelson-Atkins Museum’s noted collection of art. This route particularly suits leisure travellers and yacht owners returning from the Exumas’ cays and marinas, along with the growing number of second-home owners drawn to the islands’ unspoiled scenery. Chartering privately is frequently the most efficient way to connect this remote stretch of the Bahamas with the American Midwest, sparing travellers the multiple regional connections a commercial routing would otherwise involve after such a relaxed island stay. With the Exumas increasingly popular among celebrities and private investors seeking a quiet retreat, discretion and efficiency on the return journey matter just as much as they do on arrival. The compact airstrip at Exuma International also handles a steady stream of private traffic during the winter high season, and travellers accustomed to that level of activity tend to find chartering privately the most reliable way to keep a tight itinerary on schedule.
