Private Jet Exumas to Port St. Lucie

The Exumas sit about 330 nautical miles from Port St Lucie, a short island-hop sector generally flown by a turboprop like the Pilatus PC-12 or a light jet such as the Phenom 300, both well matched to the modest runway at Exuma International. Flight time runs around forty-five minutes, and cruise altitude stays comparatively low given how brief the crossing is, with the emphasis on efficiency rather than the higher-altitude comfort that longer sectors demand from the airframe and its pressurisation system. Exuma Airport has expanded in recent years alongside the islands’ growing profile among yacht owners and private travellers, though it remains a modest facility compared with Port St Lucie’s own general aviation set-up. Arriving passengers exchange the Exumas’ famous swimming pigs and sandbars for the calmer, river-and-lagoon scenery of Florida’s Treasure Coast, where the St Lucie River meets the Indian River Lagoon. The PGA Village golf complex has become a familiar name among Exumas regulars looking for a change of pace on the mainland, and the Tradition district offers a further option for those weighing a more permanent move to the area. Yacht owners repositioning between a Bahamian anchorage and a Florida home port make up a sizeable share of this route’s traffic, alongside vacationing families making the short but scenic crossing back to the mainland. With limited scheduled air service to the Exumas beyond a handful of regional carriers, a private charter remains the most flexible way to fly this sector on short notice, any day of the week.
