Private Jet Harare to Cavallo

Harare to Cavallo covers close to 3,763 nautical miles, a sector that spans the African continent and the Mediterranean and is best flown non-stop in a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000, both of which carry the fuel and cabin range for a crossing of this scale. A cruise near 45,000 feet keeps the aircraft above much of the weather typically encountered over Central Africa and southern Europe, contributing to a smoother ride over what is otherwise a long sector. The flight departs Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Zimbabwe’s capital, tracking broadly north-west across the continent before descending towards Corsica’s southern coast. Cavallo, the arrival point, belongs to the Lavezzi archipelago, a cluster of granite islets dividing Corsica from Sardinia across the Bonifacio Strait, and has no runway of its own, meaning the final leg is completed by helicopter, usually routed through Figari-Sud Corse to the island’s private helistrip. The island’s enduring appeal lies in what it deliberately lacks: no large hotels, no crowded beach clubs, just coves of extraordinarily clear water and a longstanding, largely European clientele that treats privacy as the primary luxury on offer. For travellers departing Harare, the roughly seven-hour flight marks a considerable journey from the Zimbabwean highlands to a markedly different Mediterranean setting, and the heavy jet’s cabin comfort, with dedicated rest and work zones, turns the distance into productive or restorative time rather than simply hours to be passed before arrival at one of Europe’s more discreet island retreats.
