Private Jet Kamloops to Cavallo

From Kamloops to Cavallo the distance comes to around 4,684 nautical miles, a journey that suits a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 departing Kamloops Airport in British Columbia’s interior. With a cruise altitude near 45,000 feet and a cabin designed for extended comfort, the aircraft handles the roughly nine-hour sector with the kind of range margin that allows for genuine flexibility in routing around weather. At the far end of the flight lies Cavallo, a private island within the Lavezzi group, positioned in the Bonifacio Strait between Corsica and Sardinia. Unlike destinations built around hotels and marinas, Cavallo offers almost the opposite experience: no roads, no large-scale development, just sandy footpaths connecting a small number of villas set among pine trees and granite rock formations. The strait’s currents keep the surrounding sea remarkably clear, a quality that has long attracted sailors and swimmers drawn to some of the most transparent water in the western Mediterranean. Cavallo has cultivated its reputation among a discerning international set largely through word of mouth, its owners having consistently resisted pressure to expand beyond a modest number of properties. There is no ferry terminal crowding the coastline here, only the occasional yacht at anchor and villa terraces overlooking the strait toward Sardinia. For travellers departing the British Columbia interior, the pairing offers a dramatic shift in landscape, from inland valleys and forested hills to a granite Mediterranean island defined by clarity of water and quiet of pace, well suited to a longer summer stay rather than a fleeting visit.
