Private Jet Kortrijk to Gilbert

Few sectors on this network cover as much ground as the crossing from Kortrijk to Gilbert, a full 4,701 nautical miles spanning the Atlantic and the width of North America. Only heavy-category aircraft have the legs for a journey of this scale; a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500 can complete it with a single fuel stop or, depending on winds and payload, occasionally in one non-stop leg, cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet where the aircraft rides above most weather and commercial traffic entirely. Departures use Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport in Belgium’s West Flanders region, a historic airfield with strong general aviation infrastructure close to the French border. Arriving on the other side of the world, quite literally in terms of time zones crossed, Gilbert presents a landscape utterly unlike Flanders’ green farmland: a sunbaked Arizona suburb built around saguaro-dotted desert, golf resorts and a fast-expanding technology and semiconductor manufacturing base that has drawn significant corporate investment in recent years. Passengers land at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, a former Air Force training base now dedicated to general and business aviation, offering considerably quicker ground handling than the region’s commercial hub. This transatlantic sector suits corporate travellers whose interests span European manufacturing and Arizona’s booming chip and aerospace industries, as well as private clients seeking a discreet, direct alternative to routing through a major international hub with its attendant queues and connections. Given the scale of the crossing, an ultra-long-range cabin with a proper rest area, full galley and low cabin altitude pressurisation makes a material difference to how passengers arrive, and operators serving this pairing typically build in a stop in eastern Canada or the northeastern United States when winds or payload demand it.
