Private Jet Lima to Cavallo

Lima to Cavallo covers around 5,719 nautical miles, an ultra-long-range crossing suited to the Gulfstream G650ER, departing Jorge Chávez International Airport on Peru’s Pacific coast. With cruise altitudes reaching up to 51,000 feet on favourable routings, the G650ER handles the roughly eleven-hour journey while keeping cabin pressure altitude notably lower than older long-range aircraft, a comfort difference that matters considerably on a sector this long. Cavallo, at journey’s end, belongs to the Lavezzi archipelago, a group of granite islands within the Bonifacio Strait separating Corsica from Sardinia. Lima’s desert coastline and Andean backdrop give way to an entirely different setting here, one built around pine-covered granite and water so clear the seabed remains visible several metres down, reached without a single road connecting the island’s scattered villas. Strong currents flowing through the strait keep the sea exceptionally transparent, a quality that has long drawn sailors and helped the island cultivate a loyal, discerning international clientele over the decades. Development has stayed deliberately minimal throughout Cavallo’s history, with owners consistently prioritising privacy and natural preservation over any expansion of visitor numbers. There is no commercial hub here, just villa terraces overlooking the strait and the occasional yacht anchored offshore. For travellers departing Peru, the route offers a considerable change of pace, well suited to an extended stay built around sailing, swimming and genuine seclusion. Days on the island move slowly, built around a morning swim, a boat trip to a neighbouring cove, and dinner as the light fades over Sardinia in the distance.
