Private Jet Manama to Porto Heli

Manama’s Bahrain International Airport sits approximately 1,547 nautical miles from Porto Heli, a sector generally flown by a Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 in around three hours, cruising near 45,000 feet across Saudi Arabia, the eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean approaches to Greece. Bahrain’s compact skyline and its status as a regional financial centre, along with its Formula 1 circuit that draws visitors each spring, give departing guests a thoroughly modern send-off before the aircraft turns toward the considerably more rustic setting of the Peloponnese. Porto Heli’s pine-fringed gulf and its marina, increasingly popular among Gulf-based owners keeping yachts in Greek waters for the summer, offer a striking change of scene after the desert coastline of Bahrain. The island of Spetses, reached by a short boat crossing, and the ancient theatre at Epidaurus both reward a longer stay in the region. Kalamata International Airport is listed as an alternative arrival for this route, useful given the volume of Gulf traffic converging on the Peloponnese during peak summer weeks. Guests from Bahrain making this journey are frequently continuing an established pattern of splitting the hottest months of the year between the Gulf and the Mediterranean, and the super mid-size cabin of a Gulfstream G280 offers the range and comfort needed for a sector of this length without requiring a technical stop. Departing Manama on a private schedule also avoids the layover through a major hub that a commercial itinerary to this part of Greece would otherwise necessitate, a saving of several hours that matters considerably to families travelling with young children.
