Private Jet Martha’s Vineyard to Spokane

Martha’s Vineyard sits some 2,007 nautical miles from Spokane, a distance a super-mid-size Bombardier Challenger 350 or Cessna Citation Latitude covers in a little under four hours, cruising near 43,000 feet across the plains and Rockies that separate the two coasts. Martha’s Vineyard Airport handles a heavy summer volume of private traffic, much of it arriving for weekends that begin on a Thursday or Friday afternoon, and its ground crews are well practised at turning aircraft around quickly even when the ramp is at its busiest. Spokane, at the other end of the country, offers a settled and unhurried welcome after the Vineyard’s summer energy: a compact city in Washington’s Inland Northwest built around the falls of the Spokane River at Riverfront Park, a survivor of the 1974 World’s Fair, with Gonzaga University lending the streets nearby their collegiate character. The Selkirk Mountains and the wheat country of the Palouse define the wider region just beyond downtown. Families with a summer house on the island and business or personal ties in the Pacific Northwest are the most frequent travellers on this pairing, and because a scheduled airline connection would require at least one change of aircraft and a considerable amount of waiting, chartering directly is the more efficient way to make the crossing, particularly with children, luggage or pets in tow. Thursday and Friday afternoons see the sharpest spike in ramp traffic through the summer, and travellers who can shift a departure even an hour or two outside that peak window often find the whole experience noticeably calmer from curb to cabin.
