Private Jet Minneapolis to Sun valley

Covering approximately 912 nautical miles, the Minneapolis to Sun Valley route is one of the collection’s longer-standing pairings. The sector calls for a light jet, with the Phenom 300 or Citation CJ4 well placed to handle the leg comfortably. With a range built for this pairing, the aircraft can typically complete the sector without a fuel stop. Flights out of Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport can usually be arranged with modest advance notice, keeping the process straightforward for time-pressed travellers. Friedman Memorial Airport’s single runway and mountain setting mean that experienced crews and suitable aircraft performance matter more here than at a typical regional field. Because the aircraft is reserved exclusively for the group booking it, there is no risk of the delays or rebookings that commercial connections through a larger hub can bring. Planning ahead is worthwhile on this sector, since positioning the right aircraft for a long day of flying takes some coordination between operator and client. Sun Valley itself needs little introduction to seasoned travellers: Sun Valley’s Nordic Center maintains one of the most extensive groomed cross-country trail networks in the American West, while the resort’s Bald Mountain, known locally as Baldy, is prized among skiers for its long, uninterrupted vertical and consistently groomed runs. Beyond that, each July the Allen & Company conference brings an unusually concentrated gathering of media and technology figures to the valley, and Sun Valley, in Idaho’s Wood River Valley, was established in 1936 as the United States’ first purpose-built destination ski resort, conceived by Union Pacific Railroad chairman Averell Harriman. The convenience is most apparent for return visitors, who tend to prize the time saved over a connecting commercial itinerary. Given the remoteness of the destination, the route holds particular appeal for owners of second homes in the valley who value predictable timing.
