Private Jet Monterrey to Cavallo

Monterrey to Cavallo spans roughly 5,205 nautical miles, a sector well matched to a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550, departing Monterrey International Airport in northeastern Mexico. Cruising near 45,000 feet, the aircraft’s range covers the roughly ten-hour crossing comfortably, its cabin built to keep passengers rested across a journey of this length rather than requiring an intermediate stop. Cavallo, the destination, forms part of the Lavezzi archipelago within the Bonifacio Strait, the current-driven channel separating Corsica from Sardinia. Monterrey’s industrial energy and mountain backdrop give way to a markedly different landscape on arrival, one built around pine-covered granite and water of exceptional clarity, with no roads or vehicles anywhere on the island itself. Only sandy footpaths connect Cavallo’s scattered villas, each positioned to maximise privacy rather than proximity to any central hub. Strong currents through the strait keep the sea remarkably transparent, a quality long appreciated by sailors and one that has helped the island cultivate a discreet, largely European following over the decades. Cavallo’s owners have consistently limited development, preserving its rugged character rather than expanding visitor capacity even as demand for this kind of retreat has grown across the region. There is no marina crowded with day-trippers, only villa terraces and the occasional yacht anchored in a quiet cove. For travellers departing Nuevo León, the route offers a considerable shift in pace, suiting guests planning an extended Mediterranean stay built around sailing, swimming and genuine rest away from any fixed schedule. Time on the island moves slowly, with days built around swimming from the rocks, sailing to a neighbouring cove, and dinners lingering well into the evening on a villa terrace.
