Private Jet Nantucket to Irvine

Nantucket to Irvine covers roughly 2,294 nautical miles, a distance suited to a mid-size or super mid-size jet over a flight time of around four and a half hours. Nantucket Memorial Airport serves an island whose whaling history has given way to one of New England’s most exclusive summer retreats, its grey-shingled cottages and cobblestone streets drawing a well-heeled seasonal population each summer. A Citation Latitude or Challenger 350 handles this distance well, climbing to a cruising altitude in the low-to-mid 40,000s for a crossing of the northeastern United States and the Rockies before descending into Southern California. Arrival at John Wayne Airport places passengers directly into Orange County, a calmer alternative to Los Angeles International, with Irvine’s business parks and coastal communities a short drive from the terminal. Nantucket’s summer season draws a substantial contingent of finance and technology executives who split their time between the East and West Coasts, many of whom maintain second homes on both Nantucket and in Southern California’s own coastal communities. A super mid-size cabin’s enclosed lavatory and proper galley suit families or groups travelling with staff, common among Nantucket’s seasonal visitors. This pairing tends to serve finance and technology executives with homes on both coasts, along with vacationing families, all benefiting from the direct routing a private charter provides, particularly valuable given Nantucket’s limited runway length and the seasonal congestion that affects commercial service each summer. The island’s cobblestone Main Street and its preserved whaling-era architecture have earned Nantucket a place on the National Register of Historic Places, a status residents guard closely against overdevelopment.
