Private Jet Nantucket to Sun valley

A charter linking Nantucket and Sun Valley spans some 1947 nautical miles. The sector calls for a super mid-size jet, with the Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 well placed to handle the leg comfortably. With a range built for this pairing, the aircraft can typically complete the sector without a fuel stop. Departures are generally arranged from Nantucket Memorial Airport, which handles private aviation traffic without the queues typical of larger commercial gateways. Friedman Memorial Airport’s single runway and mountain setting mean that experienced crews and suitable aircraft performance matter more here than at a typical regional field. Ground time at both ends of the journey is typically minimal, since private terminals allow passengers to move from car to cabin in a matter of minutes. Because catering, ground transport and customs formalities can all be arranged in advance, the whole journey tends to feel considerably less taxing than its distance might suggest. Sun Valley itself needs little introduction to seasoned travellers: Sun Valley’s Nordic Center maintains one of the most extensive groomed cross-country trail networks in the American West, while each July the Allen & Company conference brings an unusually concentrated gathering of media and technology figures to the valley. Beyond that, the Sun Valley Lodge, opened the same year as the resort, remains a hub of the town’s social calendar and has hosted decades of Hollywood visitors, and the compact village of Ketchum, adjoining Sun Valley, has developed a food and gallery scene disproportionate to its small year-round population. The convenience is most apparent for return visitors, who tend to prize the time saved over a connecting commercial itinerary. This is a favoured option for winter-sports travellers and for those attending the valley’s well-known summer events, both groups valuing a direct arrival.
