Private Jet Providence to Brownsville

Providence, Rhode Island’s compact capital, sends private flights south on a 1,608-nautical-mile route to Brownsville that spans nearly the full length of the Eastern Seaboard before crossing into the Gulf states. A Bombardier Challenger 350 is well suited to the distance, its mid-size cabin offering a stand-up aisle and proper galley for a flight that typically runs close to three and a half hours, with enough range to handle the leg nonstop even against strong winter headwinds off the Atlantic. Cruising near 45,000 feet keeps the aircraft above much of the weather that affects the Eastern Seaboard, a genuine advantage on a route that tracks through some of the most storm-prone airspace in the country during the colder months. Flights can depart either T.F. Green International Airport or the smaller North Central State Airport, before tracking south along the coast and across the Gulf states into Brownsville International Airport at the southernmost point of Texas, close to the Rio Grande and the international bridge into Matamoros, Mexico. Rhode Island’s jewellery and maritime manufacturing sectors, along with its university and biotech communities, generate a steady if modest stream of business travel toward Texas and the Gulf Coast, while leisure travellers are drawn south by the mild winter climate and the Gulf beaches of South Padre Island. The private nonstop flight bypasses the connection through Boston, New York or a southern hub that a commercial itinerary between these two smaller markets would otherwise require, compressing what could be a full day of connections into a single comfortable afternoon leg.
