Private Jet Punta Mita to Little Rock

Punta Mita, on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, lies roughly 1,095 nautical miles from Little Rock, a distance that suits a super-mid-size or heavy jet well. A Gulfstream G280 or Challenger 605 typically makes the crossing in around two and a half hours, cruising near 45,000 feet above the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Gulf of Mexico before descending into Arkansas. Departures use Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport in nearby Puerto Vallarta, whose private aviation terminals let resort guests skip the considerable queues of the main commercial concourse. Arrivals trade Pacific surf breaks for the wooded banks of the Arkansas River, a considerable shift in both scenery and pace. Little Rock’s River Market District, its restaurants and covered produce hall housed in restored nineteenth-century warehouses, sits close to most downtown hotels, while the Clinton Presidential Library extends dramatically over the water a short distance further east. The pairing suits resort and hospitality executives connecting Punta Mita’s exclusive tourism economy with business interests further north, as well as vacationing families extending a beach holiday with a stop to visit relatives or partners in Arkansas. A super-mid or heavy cabin makes the two-and-a-half-hour crossing genuinely comfortable, clearing customs quickly enough that the rest of the day remains largely intact on arrival. With Punta Mita’s exclusive residential communities drawing an increasing number of American second-home buyers, private travel between the resort and hometown business interests has become a routine part of ownership there, rather than an occasional indulgence reserved for the annual holiday alone. It is ownership that comes with its own travel rhythm.
