Private Jet Santo Domingo to Akron

Santo Domingo and Akron are separated by around 1,486 nautical miles, a distance well suited to a super mid-size jet such as the Bombardier Challenger 350, which cruises efficiently in the mid-40,000s and comfortably covers the sector in a little over three hours. Santo Domingo holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously inhabited European-founded city in the Americas, its Zona Colonial, a UNESCO World Heritage site, built around the Catedral Primada de America, the first cathedral constructed in the New World, with Las Americas International Airport serving as the Dominican Republic’s main gateway for long-haul and regional traffic alike. On arrival, travellers land at Akron-Canton Airport, close to a city whose own history runs through rubber manufacturing. Goodyear, Firestone, and General Tire all built their reputations in Akron, a legacy preserved through the University of Akron’s polymer science programme and the city’s annual All-American Soap Box Derby. Visitors with time to spend can tour Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens or wander the trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park just north of the city. This pairing suits both business travellers with ties to the Dominican Republic’s manufacturing and tourism sectors and families splitting time between the island and the American Midwest, offering a direct sector that avoids the connecting flights through Miami or New York that a commercial itinerary between these two cities would typically involve, along with the flexibility to depart on short notice around a holiday or a business trip. Baseball remains the island’s dominant sporting passion, and many charter clients combine business trips with a visit to a winter league game before the short flight home.
