Private Jet Sion to Oshawa

Linking the Alpine approach at Sion Airport with Ontario’s Durham Region, this transatlantic sector spans roughly 3,476 nautical miles and calls for genuine ultra-long-range capability. A Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 handles the crossing comfortably in a single hop, cruising above the North Atlantic at altitudes approaching 45,000 feet where smoother air and reduced traffic keep the ride settled for the better part of seven hours. Sion’s short valley runway, framed by the Valais mountains, demands aircraft with strong short-field performance on departure before the route settles into its long westbound leg over the ocean. Arrival is into Oshawa Executive Airport, a compact regional field on the shores of Lake Ontario that serves the Durham Region rather than downtown Toronto’s busier hubs, sparing travellers the queues associated with Pearson. Oshawa itself carries a proud automotive heritage as the historic home of General Motors of Canada, and the nearby Parkwood National Historic Site, once the McLaughlin family estate, remains one of the finest preserved Edwardian houses in the country. The city sits within easy reach of the Toronto metropolitan area while retaining its own lakeside identity, with waterfront trails along Lake Ontario offering a quieter alternative to the city core. Cabins on this class of aircraft are built for the long transatlantic sector, with private staterooms, generous galley provisions and reliable connectivity that let passengers arrive ready for meetings rather than recovering from the flight. The pairing suits business travellers and families relocating between Switzerland’s Alpine resorts and southern Ontario, as well as those seeking a discreet, non-stop alternative to routing through a major international gateway. The combination of range, comfort and a quieter arrival point makes this a practical option for repeat travellers on the corridor.
