Private Jet St John to Cape Coral

St John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, lies approximately 1,078 nautical miles from Cape Coral, a sector well matched to a light jet, mid-size jet or turboprop depending on group size and baggage. Departing VC Bird International Airport, the flight takes around two hours and fifteen minutes, cruising in the low-to-mid forties across the eastern Caribbean before descending into Florida’s Gulf Coast. Antigua’s reputation for having a beach for every day of the year, alongside a thriving sailing and superyacht scene centred on English Harbour, makes this a natural pairing for travellers extending island time with the boating culture of southwest Florida for the remainder of a trip. Cape Coral, on arrival, presents its own distinctive waterfront identity, an American city defined by an extraordinary canal network that gives most neighbourhoods direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. A short drive brings visitors to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, celebrated worldwide for shelling, while Fort Myers preserves the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, complete with Thomas Edison’s original laboratory and gardens. The Caloosahatchee River has also built a formidable reputation among sport anglers, particularly those chasing tarpon through the region’s productive backwaters each season, guided by captains with generations of local expertise. This route suits sailors, resort guests and property owners moving between Antigua and southwest Florida, sparing them the multiple connections a scheduled commercial itinerary of comparable distance would ordinarily require, and the long layovers such routings so often bring, and giving them the freedom to set their own departure time.
