Private Jet St John to Lexington

Departing VC Bird International Airport in Antigua, this route to Lexington covers close to 1,573 nautical miles, well within range for a heavy or super mid-size jet such as the Challenger 350, which can complete the roughly three-hour crossing with generous reserves while cruising near 45,000 feet, comfortably above the cumulus buildup that tends to form over the Leeward Islands through the afternoon. Its cabin height and width allow passengers to move around freely, work at a proper table, or simply stretch out for the transit north. The track from Antigua runs over the Bahamas and the south-eastern United States before descending into Blue Grass Airport, a short drive from Lexington’s compact and increasingly stylish downtown. Kentucky’s Bluegrass region announces itself immediately from the air, with mile upon mile of dark-fenced pastures dividing farms that have bred generations of champion Thoroughbreds. On the ground, visitors find a city built around that heritage, from the Kentucky Horse Park to the twice-yearly Keeneland sales, alongside a genuinely good restaurant and bourbon-bar scene supported by a large university population. Owners with Caribbean residences and interests in the Kentucky bloodstock trade make up a steady share of this route’s traffic, timing their arrivals around major sales or race meets, while others simply value the ability to leave a beach one afternoon and be walking a stud farm’s paddocks by the next morning. Given the complete absence of scheduled service linking Antigua directly with central Kentucky, a private departure is by far the most time-efficient option available, cutting a potential day of connections down to a single comfortable flight.
