Private Jet Telluride to Kamloops

Telluride to Kamloops sits about 938 nautical miles apart, a distance well handled by a light or mid-size jet such as the Citation CJ4 or Challenger 350, both efficient over this range and capable of clearing the high terrain around Telluride’s mountain airport before settling into cruise near 43,000 feet for the remainder of the crossing over the plains and ranges beyond into the Interior and the valleys further north still. Telluride Regional Airport, one of the highest commercial fields in North America, is known for its dramatic approach between steep canyon walls, and its private aviation handlers are well practised with the demands of high-altitude mountain operations year round and in winter storms too. Kamloops presents a lower, drier landscape on arrival, its grassland hills and river valleys a contrast to Telluride’s dramatic alpine box canyon and Victorian-era mining town centre. The city’s economy runs on cattle ranching, forestry and a growing wine industry, and its crowded calendar of national sporting tournaments has earned it a reputation as Canada’s tournament capital, with Sun Peaks Resort under an hour’s drive for skiing or hiking through the surrounding hills and valley below the airport. Ski-season travellers moving between Colorado’s high country and British Columbia’s Interior resorts are natural users of this route, along with business travellers with interests in mountain tourism. Flying privately removes the need for a long drive or a connection through Denver, keeping the whole journey to a single comfortable day from door to door and back again with ease and comfort.
