Private Jet Verbier to Koh Samui

Sion Airport is the departure point for this 5,111 nautical mile private charter to Koh Samui, a distance that firmly places the sector among the longer journeys flown from the Swiss Alps. Ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 are best suited to the task, offering enough range to complete the crossing without a technical stop and cruise capability up to roughly 51,000 feet, which helps smooth the ride and reduce fuel burn across such an extended routing. The flight itself runs close to nine and three-quarter hours, making the fully flat sleeping arrangements found on these aircraft genuinely useful rather than a nominal feature. Verbier’s proximity to Sion allows skiers and summer visitors alike a quick transfer to the airfield before the long sector begins, a contrast that only sharpens on arrival in Koh Samui. The island sits in the Gulf of Thailand, part of Surat Thani province, and its coastline runs from the busy resorts and nightlife around Chaweng to the quieter stretches of Lamai further south. Samui International Airport, developed and still run by Bangkok Airways, is known throughout the region for its open-air terminals set within tropical gardens, an approach to airport design that few destinations attempt and fewer still pull off with the same charm. Given the scale of this journey, from Alpine altitude to equatorial humidity, most travellers plan for an extended stay, whether centred on diving excursions to nearby Koh Tao, wellness retreats, or simply recovering from a demanding ski season, and a private cabin allows that long transition to unfold without the fatigue of commercial connections.
