Private Jet Zurich to Tashkent

The distance from Zurich to Tashkent runs to roughly 2,570 nautical miles, a sector typically flown by a heavy jet such as the Gulfstream G550, whose long-range cruise at altitudes up to 45,000 feet makes for an efficient crossing of the Alps, the Caucasus and the Iranian plateau. Departure is from Zurich Kloten Airport, where a well-established private aviation terminal serves the canton’s dense concentration of finance and pharmaceutical executives with minimal waiting between arrival at the terminal and wheels up. After around five hours in the air, passengers land in Tashkent, a city whose Silk Road heritage remains visible in the domed passageways of Chorsu Bazaar and the wide, monument-lined sweep of Amir Timur Square at its centre. Switzerland’s private banking and asset management sector has taken a growing interest in Central Asian markets as Uzbekistan continues the economic liberalisation begun in 2016, making this an increasingly used corridor for financial and industrial delegations. Leisure travellers, meanwhile, treat Tashkent as the gateway to the wider Silk Road, with Samarkand’s turquoise domes and Bukhara’s old trading quarter both a short onward hop away. The G550’s four distinct cabin zones suit this longer sector particularly well, giving passengers the option to work through European hours before switching to rest as the aircraft crosses into Central Asian time. Given the mountainous terrain along parts of the routing, the aircraft’s substantial range reserves also provide a genuine margin of comfort that shorter-legged types simply cannot match on this particular pairing between two very different capitals.
