Private Jet Alexandria to Port Louis

From Alexandria to Port Louis is a journey of about 3,476 nautical miles, tracking south-east from the Egyptian coast across the length of Africa to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. A heavy business jet, such as a Gulfstream G550, handles the roughly six-and-three-quarter-hour flight with room to spare, operating at cruise altitudes near 45,000 feet that keep it above most weather systems along the route and give passengers a smoother ride than a lower-flying aircraft could offer over such a distance. Departure is from Borg El Arab International Airport, west of Alexandria, a gateway increasingly used for private charter traffic serving the Mediterranean coast. On the Mauritian side, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport provides the private aviation infrastructure needed for a smooth arrival, positioning guests within a short transfer of Port Louis and the island’s coastal resorts. The sector tends to appeal to travellers combining a Mediterranean or Egyptian stay with an Indian Ocean escape, business groups with operations spanning both regions, and repeat visitors who prefer a single long flight over multiple shorter connections through European or Gulf hubs. Alexandria’s own layered history along the Egyptian coast makes for a distinctive point of departure, and flying privately turns what would otherwise be a fragmented, multi-stop itinerary into one continuous crossing, delivering guests to the beaches and volcanic interior of Mauritius the same day they leave North Africa. Alexandria’s coastal setting and its blend of Mediterranean and Egyptian influences make it a distinctive starting point, and the aircraft’s range means the entire journey to the Indian Ocean is completed without the delays of an intermediate stop.
