Private Jet Naples to Charlestown

Naples, Florida sits roughly 1,199 nautical miles from Charlestown, Nevis, a two-and-a-half-hour sector that a light jet manages comfortably, with the Phenom 300 offering efficient cruise performance for a route that crosses the Florida Straits, the Bahamian archipelago, and a stretch of open Atlantic before reaching the Leeward Islands. Departures use Naples Airport, a popular general aviation gateway on Florida’s Gulf Coast, well used to handling private traffic heading south toward the Caribbean. The flight offers extended views over the Bahamas at altitude before the terrain shifts to the deeper blue waters surrounding Nevis. The destination presents a landscape defined almost entirely by a single dormant volcano, its lower slopes given over to the remnants of former sugar plantations, several of which have been converted into small, characterful hotels. Charlestown, the island’s capital, retains an eighteenth-century layout, its stone buildings and courthouse recalling a period when the island’s sugar wealth outstripped that of many larger Caribbean territories. The descent into Vance W. Amory International Airport tracks close along the coastline, with the reef visible in the final approach before landing. This route appeals to Florida-based travellers seeking a quieter Caribbean alternative to the more heavily trafficked islands closer to home, whether for a private villa stay or a retreat at one of Nevis’s plantation-house hotels. Turboprops offer a more economical option for smaller groups over this distance, while mid-size and super mid-size jets provide additional comfort for larger parties or longer stays. Naples also draws a significant seasonal population each winter, and this route sees a corresponding increase in demand during the months when Florida-based travellers look to extend their break further south.
