Private Jet Exumas to Toledo

The Exumas sit roughly 1,156 nautical miles from Toledo, a distance that suits a light jet or turboprop well, with a Phenom 300 or Pilatus PC-12 typically covering the crossing in a little over two hours. The turboprop’s shorter runway requirements make it a particularly practical choice given the modest airstrips found throughout this stretch of the Bahamas. Flights depart Exuma International Airport, with arrival into Toledo Express Airport in northwest Ohio. The Exumas’ famous swimming pigs and the impossibly clear water of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park give way on arrival to a very different landscape, where the Toledo Museum of Art’s celebrated glass collection and the Maumee River’s downtown corridor offer their own quieter appeal. This pairing serves travellers closing out a stay in one of the more photographed corners of the Bahamas, where a light jet or turboprop cabin comfortably seats a small group with the modest luggage typical of an island trip. Because the distance sits comfortably within non-stop range for either aircraft category, no fuel stop is required, and departing from a compact regional airstrip in the Exumas directly into a manageable airport in Toledo keeps the return journey simple and largely free of the connections a commercial routing through Nassau would otherwise demand. For boat owners and yacht charter guests finishing a cruise through the Exuma chain, the ability to fly directly north without backtracking through a larger hub is a meaningful convenience at the end of a trip. Great Exuma’s Georgetown serves as the unofficial capital of the chain, and the annual Family Island Regatta each spring draws sailors from across the Caribbean to its harbour.
